President's Pen Brothers and Sisters,
We are now in the holiday season and we truly need to be thankful. Two years ago, we were
providing Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for our laid-off members. Our food bank was at full capacity, providing food for over 300 of our members families.
I just want to leave you with a few things all of us need to be thankful for during this holiday season .
We need to be thankful for having a job.
We need to be thankful we are covered by a UAW Contract.
We need to be thankful we have paid holidays off to spend time with our family.
We need to be thankful we do not have any members on layoff.
While we are sharing time with our families , please take time to say a
prayer for our members who have lost a loved one . There will be an empty chair at their table this year.
When we set at our table and have not lost a loved one, we are truly blessed and should be thankful.
Have a safe holiday season and may God bless all of you.
