Constitution and Bylaws, Chair ...   Larry Watson

This Committee as spelled out in Article 44 of the International Constitution: The Constitution and Bylaws Committee of each Local Union shall perform the duties of setting up and monitoring the local union bylaws, along with following the approval procedures. This committee is charged with the responsibility of submitting proposed changes to the International Constitutional Conventions. 

Union Label,  Chair..... Moe Brittain / Randy Kisler

Helps to emphasize the importance of supporting those goods produced in union shops, by union members under the union-won working conditions. This committee also helps bring to the attention of our members those products produced under the non-union conditions and by anti-labor manufactures.

Conservation and Recreation, Chair .....Executive Board

Works to promote meaningful recreation and leisure-time activities and also develops action programs to help correct energy and environmental problems. Service in these areas is provided by the Recreation and Conservation Department of the International Union. 

Community Services, Chair ......Tony Hawkins

Performs the important task of getting help for our members and their families in time of need. These committees work through public and private organizations to assure that these problems faced by members in emergency situations get the needed help. These are the committees that generally handle the strike insurance benefits when local unions are forced to use their economic strength. Service in this area is provided by the Community Services Department of the International Union.

Civil and Human  Rights, Chair ......Larry Watson

Serves as the guardian over the Local Union's interest to assure members full rights regardless of religion, race, creed, color, sex, political affiliation, national origin, age, or handicap. The committee informs members of steps and procedures, including filing of complaints and hearings, whenever a member or members believe their rights have been violated, either by management or other union members. The committee, in cooperation with the UAW Civil Rights Department, works toward the elimination of discrimination in the workplace, the community and the nation. Services are provided by the Civil Rights Department of the InternationaUnion.


Education
, Chair ..... Randy Kisler

Responsible for putting into operation the education mandate adopted by the UAW convention delegates. Available to the committee are films, materials, outlines, and guides developed to help them inform the membership on issues, train new Stewards/ Grievance Handlers, leaders and mobilize greater solidarity behind the program of the union. Services in this area are provided by the Education Department of the International Union. 

Citizenship and Legislative, Chair.... ..Bob Riggins

The in-plant political-legislative arm of the local union and is the vital workplace political activator. While CAP priorities are developed by the Convention action and our network of CAP Councils - The Citizenship- Legislative Committee is the basic link with our members at work in assisting the implementation of registration and get-out-to-vote drives, dollar drives, letter writing campaigns, publicizing the issues and positions of public officials: encouraging special groups in the plant - youth, women, minorities- to become active. 

Consumer Affairs, .........Executive Board

Strives to keep the members informed on truth in lending, truth in packaging, truth in advertising, labels on products, etc.- a very vital and important committee; thereby diminishing the devastating causes of inflation. Services in this area are provided by the Consumer Affairs Department of the International Union.

Veterans, Chair ..Pete Williams

Each Local Union shall provide needed information to veterans and their families. They should monitor all legislation dealing with veterans.

Womens, Chair ............ Stacey Hinson

Established for the purpose of promoting greater understanding of the UAW'S policies and programs, and to further the objectives of our local union in the community in which they live. The Committee conducts programs which are of special interest to women, and encourages them to become active. They are also encouraged to establish regional and area Women's Committees. Services to this committee are provided by the Women's Department of the International Union. 

Health & Safety, Chair..........  Ken Carriker

Most UAW unions now have designated members of Health& Safety committees and/or designated full or part time Health& Safety Representatives, Their duties include implementing negotiated provisions of the union contract, in addition to state and federal health and safety laws to recognize and eliminate occupational hazards throughout the workplace. They may also assist in disseminating educational materials and information regarding health&safety hazards. Technical services in this area are provided by the UAW Social Security Department, and education services are provided by the Education Department.

Lupa: Local Union Press Association, Chair........... Will Davis

 Co Chair  Chris Redding   ....Publishes flyers, bulletins, newspapers
, websites, encourages members to become more active and to keep them informed of local plant and union news, union-won rights, leadership goals, and committee activities as well as get out the facts that the International and Local Leadership thinks is important. The Committee also works to improve the Union's image in the media.

Skilled Trades, Chair ............Charles Nelson  

This committee is devoted totally to the maintenance employees in the manufacturing plant. The Skilled Trades Department of the International UAW assists the Locals all over the country in negotiating contracts to protect our maintenance people and their jobs as well as protecting the different classifications within the maintenance department. They also look at outsourcing work and sub-contracting work that our very own people could be doing. Under the Skilled Trades falls the Sub-Contracting Committee: Chair ..Clark Riddle  We work hand-in-hand to see that things are done right in the Maintenance Department.

Chaplaincy,  Chair........... Janice Glenn

The Chaplaincy program is designed to serve our memberships needs in many areas. They are people dedicated to ministering to people of every faith. They help with counseling and advice in about every area of life. They help people spiritually, emotionally, physically, mentally, etc. They also make contact with the people that have lost loved ones or that might
be hospitalized. They take care of bereavements, send cards out, etc. These people are truly dedicated to this program and don't mind praying with you or ministering to your needs
