Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) is committed to keeping health and welfare costs down so we can maintain a competitive health care plan for all employees. One major aspect of remaining competitive is ensuring that only eligible dependents of DTNA employees are provided with coverage.
Covering ineligible dependents raises DTNA’s cost for health coverage which is reflected in the premiums deducted from everyone’s pay. As part of our commitment to rein in health care costs, DTNA has partnered with Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (ADP) to conduct a Dependent Eligibility Audit of our plans. The purpose of this audit is to examine and review the eligibility of dependents enrolled in DTNA health plans.
Employees enrolled in DTNA health and welfare plans will receive a letter from ADP. The letter will detail the steps and information required to complete the audit and to keep coverage on your enrolled dependents.
Importantly, there will be an amnesty period during which you can drop ineligible dependents without disciplinary repercussions. After the amnesty period you will be asked to submit evidence of eligibility directly to ADP.
Following are some examples of documentation you will be asked to provide as evidence of eligibility:
Children:
Adoption Certificate
Current Tax Form (dependent information only)
Official Court Documentation
Birth Certificate w/parents name listed
Qualified Medical Child Support Order
Spouse:
Current Tax Return(Spouse Name Listed)
Marriage Certificate
Official Court Documentation
When you receive any correspondence from ADP, please read it carefully as there are specific due dates when certain information needs to be returned. Failure to follow the instructions could result in loss of coverage.
We are confident this process will ensure that we are covering eligible dependents in a fair and equitable manner, and thereby helping to keep the costs for all employees to a minimum.
